The Eagles are SOARing high!!!!

A Note From Mr. Witherspoon:

I want to thank our community from the bottom of our hearts to each of you that have so vigilant monitoring the health of your children.  This is a very challenging time and it will continue to be as we move into the winter months and cold/flu season arises.  The goal is to keep our kiddos in their seats and we will continue to do this as long as everyone continues to do their part.

The smiles on the faces of the students (and staff) are incredible and I can't tell you how beyond impressed I am with how hard the students are working!  The teachers have really done a nice job at creating opportunities for maximize engagement within a physically distant setting!  The students working in the virtual world are working equally as hard as I have had the pleasure of seeing all classes in person as well as some of the awesome work that is being turned in!

Lastly, I want to acknowledge all of you that have clearly put in time over the shut down and throughout the summer.  The learning loss that we were expecting (as there is naturally a learning regression during summer anyway) has been dramatically reduced due to the time you have spent with your children reading, doing math facts, and talking to them.  Thank you from the bottom of our Eagle's Hearts!

Eagle's use the winds that storms bring to soar high above the clouds; higher than most other birds.  Our community has displayed this trait during this storm that currently exists within society.  Keep SOARING Eagles!!!

The Livonia Police Department is looking for people that would like to take advantage of the opportunity to have a positive impact on children and their families!

Crossing guards are often the first people that children see (outside of their family members) and, more often, the person that puts a smile on their face that lasts throughout the day!

Please give Officer Rebant, Livonia Police Traffic Bureau, a call at 734-466-2683, if you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity or recommend to someone that would be.
